Working with Kate and ssh server

Hi,

we are working on a project with no support for GIT or SVN. We can only
access the files and folders via SSH.

It's possible to open a directory recursively on a SSH server?

Creating a .kateproject file on a local folder works great, but not work on
a server folder and accessing via Dolphin SFTP.

SSHFS is not a good option by now.

Any other suggestions?
