erroneous(?) syntax highlight error for [[ ]]

i'm out of my league here insomuch as i don't know if this is the proper 
place to report this

[[ 6 -eq 5 || ( 6 -eq 6 && 5 -eq 5 ) ]]

produces a syntax error for the closing ')'
