Building inside docker ?

Hi,

Visual Studio Code has a plugin so you can trigger builds inside a docker 
container. This is quite useful, e.g. when using a docker container as a 
defined build environment and you want to trigger the build from your editor/
IDE.
Is there maybe already something similar for kate, or does somebody already 
have some pointers how this is implemented ?
