Mac terminal feature font size

Hey there - Kate looks like a great editor! I've been trying the Mac terminal (Konsole perhaps?) inside the editor. The default font size is very small.
I found I could right click the terminal area in Kate and create a new terminal profile.

I bump my font size up to 14 and can see that happen immediately behind the profile dialog window (ah much better, default of size 10 is way too small for me).

When I try to save or apply the profile changes, I get this "name exceeded" issue as shown:

This seems to prevent saving the change and it reverts back. What am I missing here? I can't even make a 1-character name work in that dialog.
