Show .gitignore-d files

Hi everyone,

My main and only issue with Kate that prevents me from switching to it 
is that files that are ignored from Git via .gitignore do not appear in 
the Project tab.

I would like to offer a patch where the files are visible but greyed out 
instead.

Can anyone point me to the source file responsible for showing or not 
the files? That would speed the process.
