Specifically, the ability to execute External Tool-like scripted commands in the embedded terminal. This would enable running the current file in Julia REPL via custom shortcuts. I understand that the Terminal and External Tools are separate plugins. I imagine the feature could be implemented by either interfacing these plugins (perhaps adding the terminal as an output option in the External Tools plugin), or by modifying the terminal 'run' command, similar to the 'prefix' functionality it currently uses. Other features that would be nice include running code sections, perhaps using 'silent' piping to the terminal? I'm not sure how VSCode implements the same. Nevertheless, Kate is quite nice so far, and I'm enjoying the switch.
