I work as an editor, working primarily in .adoc and .yml files and Kate does a great job. I have recently come across a curious behaviour where Kate takes the apostrophe in my surname to mean the end of the current string or block (I don't know the correct terminology, sorry). This means that all syntax highlighting after the apostrophe is lost. I can use two apostrophes to "fix" it, but the output is then two apostrophes. Is there a way I can edit the way Kate sees apostrophes so that it just treats them as standard characters? OBrienĀ <-- No issues. O'Brien <-- Syntax highlighting is "broken" after the apostrophe. O`Brien <-- No issues if I use a backtick. Please CC me on any replies.
