OK, this also happens with pop3 and smtp slave. All slaves are linked 
against libsasl2.

I already mailed this to kde-pim on 15th Dec. (Subject: memory usages of 
kdepim's apps/slaves), maybe this information (DNS lookup vs. plain IP) 
helps.
