++ for Nikos suggestion on using distro packages - Quanta is most likely in 
kdewebdev package group.

Again, I cannot be very helpful on the eee pc specifics or xandros as I have 
neither... but hopefully you should be able to use the pre-made distro 
packages, as the eee pc probably does not have the storage required for 
compiler+tools+development libraries.

If you want to build from source, you will need to install build-essential 
package group (or similar depending on your distro).  You will also need the 
header files for KDE/Xorg/and Qt packages. Otherwise you will get more 
complaints about missing bits other then a C++ compiler (gcc)
