Secure upload to remote server?

Hi all,

I am a new user of Quanta, and I am trying to understand how to keep the local
development version of a website in synch with the remote, publicly available
version.

I browsed the list's archive, and saw that uploading files securely to a remote
server should be possible by specifying a secure protocol in the upload
profile.

However, in my installation, the drop-down list of available protocols does
not include sftp, scp, etcetera. I can confirm I have fish working, since I
tried it in Konqueror on my remote server and it worked flawlessly.
Perhaps there something wrong with my installation?

I am on Kubuntu 8.10 and using Quanta 3.5.10. Puzzlingly, the "about Quanta"
windows says "Quanta 3.5.10 (Using KDE 3.5.10)", even though I am using KDE 4
(4.1, I believe, or whichever version was installed by Kubuntu 8.10)

All help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Stefano
