Perhaps a good compromise would be to make turning this safety feature off
a little more difficult, and/or have an extra warning dialog when you tick
that box.

I think part of the problem is that ticking the first box is pretty
innocuous - after all, it's just a confirmation of what you already asked
Quanta to do, so you may well want to bypass that step.

But the second box is asking if you want nitroglycerin with your sausages. A
responsible waiter might well check that the customer was paying attention
before passing that order onto the chef.
