On a new partition I just installed  Slackware 12.2 complete with the 
Quanta available on that release. So I still have Quanta, at the cost 
of a reboot when I need to use it. 

When Quanta 4 or whatever comes out I can install that on my Slack 
13 partition which has Qt 4.
