Quanta gone wrong

Hi,

Imagine this scenario. You have a 2GHz+ system with 1.5G RAM. Only a couple of 
running applications. Plenty of free resources. The latest updates from KDE 
and Fedora 7 has been a well operating environment since it came out. 

You start Quanta. Cool looking app with many nice features. You start 
developing a web site with ten pages. Where the largest is under 60k.

You make some changes over time, and then as you type the last few words the 
system stops responding. Looking at the CPU tool you see it's running full 
hilt. After 10 seconds it resumes, emptying the buffer of what you just 
typed.

This escalates to 45 sec. Then 5 minutes. Now for every few words you are 
waiting for who knows what to complete. Checking top you see that it is all 
Quanta chewing away. Then you get 4K in swap space.

Looking over all the nice features like auto completions and the like, you 
start turning off each one in an attempt to isolate the culprit.

After having turned off every imaginable option it is still eating cpu for 
every few keystrokes. Fortunately the modern kernel allows you to do other 
work while Quanta continues to try to waste your time.

Quanta is the only app that does this.

Of all tools (IDE's and text editors) that I've used in the last 10 years, I 
really loved Quanta. With the built in documentation, ease of updating the 
web site, etc, it is otherwise the best web development environment I've ever 
used.

What do I do to overcome this anomaly?
