No worries. What you've provided here is some objective information to find 
and possibly fix a complaint. That's a big difference to the reply I 
originally got.

One of the reasons I probably didn't provide information like that is that 
this is a user's discussion list - asking questions about Quanta amongst the 
other users. Maybe someone was having the same issues and could say "try 
this.." who knows ? If this mailing list was a bug tracker I would have 
happily gone through and provided the details in more depth - I do that quite 
a bit for various KDE apps I use, so I know the process.

Anyway, I'm sorry this topic has gone the way it is, I generally don't get 
involved in off topic discussions as I don't have the time or the interest, 
plus they don't lead anywhere positive. So you'll have to excuse me if don't 
reply or take up with anything else written in this thread. Happy to provide 
more information about excess CPU and memory consumption, though!
