Do you have cmake 2.4.0? kdelibs/cmake/modules/KDE4Defaults.cmake has:
set(CMAKE_COLOR_MAKEFILE ON)

I have to check if this module is automatically included or not if you 
build a KDE application.

I don't know, we can continue with porting from 3.5 what is not yet in 
trunk or fix what is in trunk to work as well.

But we use KFileTreeView, so first that one should be ported, isn't it

Yes, we can change KDevelop's interfaces to KUrl, so for the next 
snapshot it is already having the remote project interfaces.

I don't know, there is an ongoing dicussion whether to allow 
srcdir==builddir build for KDE4 or not (mostly it will be not allowed).
Let's see what they do there, and we can adapt kdewebdev as well.
