Hi Juan, The reformatted disk has an updated UUID. This last one is used in the database to identify the disk. As the disk UUID is not the same, the item path from the database is broken. To fix this problem open the DK Setup dialog and go to the Collections page where you will find a list of the media registered in the database. Select one corresponding to your disk and press on the Update Path button on the right side. Validate the dialogs and this must update the UUID from the disk on the database. https://docs.digikam.org/en/setup_application/collections_settings.html#setup-root-album-folders Best regards Gilles Caulier Le ven. 6 juin 2025 à 14:53, Juan Lesta <[email protected]> a écrit : > > Hi all! > This is my first message here. > I am using the latest version of Digikam on MacOs. > My problem is that my database seems to work fine, but any fotos no link properly to files on fider after a reinstall of my MacOs due to problems on my OS disc. > When I select any photo and choose the "open in file manager" action, nothing happens. > The photos are all stored on external discs and they have not been modified in any way. > I am using the same Digikam database and preferences that I used before I formatted the disc, as they were restored from a backup. > > Do you know of any way to relink or restore my database so that it works properly? > > Thanks in advance!!! > Juan > > > 01123581321345589144
