Fwd: crashed hard drive

I  have all my photos on a digikam database. My seperate hard drive where I
store all my photos seems to be corrupted and unavailable. I want to copy
my photos to a new hard drive from the database. Can this be done and how?
Below is what I get when opening Digikam . When I press ok my photos come up
