Thanks Gilles. My version is 8.7.0 running on Win11
Build Date:
6/29/2025 11:01 AM
Build Target: RelWithDebInfo
Build Architecture: x86_64
Git Revision: 4a1...860f
Git Branch: HEAD
I note the discussion link provided is mainly reacting to MacOS version, but there's a note that Win11 might be similar, but I'm not sure what to do with that info.
Thanks,
Bill Purves

Hallo,
Vielen Dank
Heiner

I am new to digiKam, and am trying to print a collage. The print dialog is looking for a gimp.exe file, which I downloaded and installed, but the dialog cannot find it because it installed in my hidden file AppData, which the dialog can't see despite the fact that I'm showing hidden files in Explorer. Further, the dialog forces you to look for a file type of "gimp.exe", when it actually should be just ".exe". How do I get the dialog to find the gimp-3.exe file? Uninstall and try to reinstall into a different folder that's visible, if the install gives me an option? Then if I can do that how do I get the dialog to recognize it? Thanks for any help.

Hi,
If you use Snap bundle, It work in a sandbox env. and interoperability
with external applications is very limited. We don't manage Snap (and
Flatpak too) bundles, it's managed by 3rd party teams.
Use the Linux AppImage bundle that we support, there is no limitation
at all. It's compiled under Ubuntu 22.04 for binary compatibility.
Best regards

Hi,
Which digiKam version did you use ? Typically, this problem have been
fixed before 8.7.0 release.
