Forcing a face recognition rescan

Courtesy of Google I have found that to force a rescan of faces after 
identifying more faces, I need to change an option in "scan settings". 
My problem is I can't find "scan settings", can anyone point me in the 
right direction.  Am using digiKam 8.7.0 under Windows 10
