A question about advanced search.

I've been playing with Digikam pre-release 8.8 and have questions about
using the advanced search.

For example, I have tagged photos with "swimming".  Of those photos, I
want to select photos that contain the tags jumping and/or diving.

In the first panel, I have selected "meet all of the following
conditions", and selected the tag "swimming"

I added a search group, and set the options to AND, and "meet any of
the following conditions", and selected the tags diving an jumping.

I get no search results.  

If I deselect either diving or jumping, I get the results I expected.

I have tried both the appimage, as well as compiling from source.

Am I misunderstanding how search works, or could this be a bug?
