DK 8.7 face tagging: confirm will trigger a new face scan?

Hi,

I'm a long-time DK user. I recently upgraded from 8.6 to 8.7 (my system runs
debian linux) and there seems to be some behaviour change I didn't expect. I
wonder if I've got some setting messed up?

I was using face detect/recognition extensively with DK 8.6. I didn't modify
any setting when I began using DK 8.7. Today I opened the "Unconfirmed" set of
people tags. I confirmed a few faces on-by-one. Then I selected four faces by
holding shift and left mouse click a range. When I confirmed those four, a new
"Face Scanning" run kicked off.

Actually, it might be a timing thing rather than the number of confirmed faces.
Just now, I did a single one, then waited; about 10 seconds later face
scanning kicked off again.

Q1: is this new behaviour? Is it related to some setting I might have
inadvertently set? Or a holdover from 8.6->8.7 update?

Q2: the scan takes a minute or two at present. Is it safe to continue
confirming faces while it runs?

Thanks,
-Steve
