best way to indicate that a raw file has already been edited

Hi all,

When cataloging photos, what is the best way to indicate that a raw file 
has already been edited (I use an external editor: RawTherapee)?

Should I create and apply a tag such as “already edited” or “done,” or 
is there something built into digiKam for this?
