DK 8.7.0: Which version?

I'm currently using DK 8.7.0, the appimage on Tumbleweed with XFCE.

I wanted to install DK 8.7.0 version on my system, in the hope of
getting a little bit more speed in loading and in flipping between
images.

In the repos, there are 2 versions:

1. digikam-8.7.0-263.21.x86_64.rpm
2. digikam-8.7.0-kf.263.16.x86_64.rpm

The second version is for: "KDE Frameworks5".

1. Which should I install?
2. Would it be worthwhile to switch from XFCE to KDE?

XFCE is not as flashy as KDE but less keystrokes...
