Hi, Yes, RAW image data are extracted and passed to the face engine as other file formats. Detected regions from the image are stored in the database and can be stored in the XMP sidecar if the relevant settings are turned on. The recognition process do not depend of the image data as the detection stores fingerprints in the database. This last one is used by the DNN to process the recognition stage.
