thumbnail for XCF files

Hi all

I'm using Gimp 3.0 to create pictures, and until DK8.7, I was able to 
see the thumbnail of the xcf file, but in DK8.8, if I modify the file, I 
don't see the thmbnail any more , just the file type (XCF).
Any idea?

I'm on Win11
