I accidentally deleted one photo with Windows Explorer that was already in the DK database. After restarting DK, I noticed that the photo had also been deleted in DK. That's bad! This behavior means that I cannot tell if one or more photos have been deleted without me noticing. Other applications, such as IMATCH from Photools, do not automatically delete missing photos from the database, but mark them with a specific symbol. This alerts you to missing photos when you start the app, and you can restore them from a backup. I think this approach makes a lot of sense, as it provides better protection against data loss. Is there a way to prevent automatic deletion from the database in DK? I couldn't find anything about this in the manual. Bleib(en) (Sie) gesund!
