Makernote Metadata is gone

I have a new camera - Fujifilm X T30 III - and I found out that after 
editing and saving pictures all the Makernote metadata are gone. 
Included is an example of a picture before and after editing/saving. 
Such things did not occur with my previous camera (Panasonic Lumix TZ100).

Is this a feature or a bug? I really don't want to lose those metadata 
information!
