Sometimes when I log in, the desktop looks black/empty, and I can't right-click
on those areas. 
I can usually fix this by running the following in the terminal

```
killall plasmashell 
kstart plasmashell 
```

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in to the desktop (X11) with an external monitor attached. I use Nvidia
graphics

OBSERVED RESULT

Parts of the desktop background are non-functional and black

EXPECTED RESULT
