Some proposed features regarding platform profiles require breaks in binary compatibility. And once WebKit is fully integrated into the Platform (spell check in text input fields comes to mind), KHTML could potentially also be moved from kdelibs to a place that doesn't guaranty compatibility (kdebase/libs or so), remove kde3support classes, etc. Not saying that there should be a Platform 5 release soon (kde-promo isn't the place for that discussion anyway), but the potential is there to do it in the foreseeable future no matter what Nokia does with Qt 4, Qt 5,... _______________________________________________ This message is from the kde-promo mailing list.
