Science

Hey guys,

This is not purely a promo thing, but I would like the benefit of your wisdom, 
experience, incisive intellect and so on... Enough flattery? ;-)

Anyway, a few of us got together at Akademy and discussed how to raise the 
profile of KDE science apps. One idea was to have a page under 'Applications' 
on kde.org (so this would be at http://www.kde.org/applications/science).

It would include the KDE Edu science apps, but also various outside apps - 
RKWard, Kile, LabPlot. well we gathered quite a list. The idea is to make it 
easier to see what we have - currently the best match is to look in 
Applications -> Education but that excludes the three above, and contains a 
lot of noise from a science perspective (KHangman...).

This is purely a presentation thing - there is no intention to remove 
duplicate apps from the Edu page or to create a separate Science module. The 
majority of apps listed would probably be non-SC in any case.

So: Good? Bad? Don't care?

If the response is fairly positive then I'll run this past KDE Edu (already 
discussed a bit - as a purely presentation thing they seem mostly not too 
bothered either way) and KDE www of course.
