The only way in my view to actually get people to talk about single KDE appliction releases and not about "SC" is that applictions would get released independently on a regular basis. +1 also on the point that the name for the "compilation" needs to be short and the release number will often matter. The idea of having "KDE" be an initiative and thus the people is really good and I would accept that now a new suboptimal label is needed for the product itself. Using "KDE SC" or "KDE Software Compilation" isn't too bad. Good press releases depend on the target audience. Most of the time we want to reach other multipliers of information, we could provide more variants to solve the short versus longer problems. Then journalists could pick and we get more exposure. "KDE" is in a small niche of IT news for many publications, if we would only offer longer titles with more KDE application names, this might even lower the importance of the news for more mainstream publications.
