I agree with the goal.

I am saying: As long as a common release is made, most publications
and people will focus on the whole package. For them it is one package
(and one product). So speaking of several single applications when doing
a release of the whole bundle will not reach our goal to highlight
the non-desktop uses. It might lead to less people reading about KDE.

Maybe we can do a press release highlight for a single application
or even start to promote an application most people not expect
to have KDE technology inside or being a KDE application.

This idea would avoid having the extra news of the full bundle which
certainly will distract some tech writers because there is so much other 
good stuff in it.

As you've agreed further down in your reply: 
 Good press releases depend on the target audience.
Some KDE fans are engineers, for them engineering event 4.5.2 is 
the right message, even for the title.

SC is released together, people will understand it as one product
as explained above.

We need a label to cater the "engineering news" which is public
of course. And I think "KDE SC" is the best we have so far.

If you think this is sub-optimal, you need to suggestion
a) how we otherwise solve the two challenges that people
   believe this is one product and one news and 
b) what label we should use for the public "engineering talk".
