Hello mailist.

For those that don't know me, my name is Alex Fiestas (afiestas), and
currently working in BlueDevil (Bluetooth + KDE stuff), Kamoso (webcam
application), and maintaining KTuberling.
Also, I'm a member of KDE-España, the sister local organisation
equivalent to KDE e.V.

The other day, I got an Idea, something I'm willing to do in Spain (with
kde-españa), a Press Release.
I guess it depends on the country, but here in Spain, do such things if
you're a "small" project/company is quite important, since by doing it
you got the attention of the local press, for instance I'm thinking on a
magazine called "Computer Hoy" which is the best seller general PC
magazine (aka: Almost windows only stuff). Also, I'm quite sure that we
can attract some Tv's.

So, attracted by this idea, I started to think what we need to do such
thing, and the list is not very long, since we're already doing a good
job in the website (in the release notes), so, thinking about press
releases I did in the past, we need:

1-A "professional like" video, introducing new features and that kind of
things, is quite important have a "background voice" explaining the
goodness of our software, and why not of our community.

2-A global/unified presentation, which should explain almost the same
things as the video.

3-Some flyers and documents "ready to be used" by those magazines to
write they articles. If I have learned something from my experience in
press releases, is that journalist are humans, humans are lazy, so lets
do they work easier.

4-Organized local groups willing to do that.
	-At least, I know of KDE-España, KDE-Brasil, KDE-Netherlands,
KDE-Germany (e.V itself?).

Well, what do you think? do we have the man power to do the previous
points? I'm missing something? etc etc etc?

Thanks!
