I'm not even sure if it is fixed entirely - it was never a problem for me 
personally. I think it was more advanced features that were missing (not even 
sure which). Afaik some got fixed upstream in Qt and I remember someone 
blogging about working on other bits. Anyway, complaints seem to have died 
down. It would be interesting to know whether people are actually happy with 
the printing now though -> survey

I have no further objections :-) Seriously, that shows you're realistic about 
this and up for a serious commitment - I'm impressed

Platforms: distro, BSD, Mac, Windows... Maybe that's another survey, maybe 
not.

Not much - I've watched a few on the R500 without issues. Probably more a 
processor issue (I don't think there is GPU video decoding in the free ATI 
drivers yet).  It was fine on my three year old dual core intel
