Hey, We're still not consistent with what we're putting out there :-( So we have https://promo.notes.kde.org/34 to try and get this right. But that doesn't match what has just happened for 4.5.2 and 4.5.3 (that also don't match each other that well). Maybe the proposal in the doc is not right, we can fix that. It definitely doesn't contain enough detail, which should really be a boilerplate announcement and Dot article. I can add that, but wanted to see first an agreement on the principles set out in the doc. So, what's the way forward? Should I just make a decision on the bits that are still ambiguous in the doc and flesh out full guidance for the wiki? Sebas, if I do, will you use it? ;-) See below for my ideas. Or do we need to discuss things some more? Cheers, Stu For reference, here's how I would have done the Dot story, based on the shared doc: --- KDE's November Updates Enhance DjVu and XPS Support KDE today released maintenance updates to its three main product sets: the Plasma workspaces, Applications and KDE Platform. This update is the third in a series of monthly stabilization updates to the 4.5 series. The updates bring bugfixes and translation improvements and are recommended for everyone running KDE software. As the release only contains bugfixes and translation updates, it will be a safe and pleasant update for everyone. These updates support over 55 languages in KDE software, with more to come. _______________________________________________ This message is from the kde-promo mailing list.
