Android is the non-walled-garden smartphone star now. This world is
new, though. It wouldn't take much Java thrashing from Ellison or any
of the other noise to make MeeGo attractiveness soar. Linux Foundation
"ownership" is a major plus. Google is not universally loved, and its
"ownership" of Android is a black mark to some.

With Nokia/MeeGo playing big outside the U.S., it should be expected
that other smartphone mfrs will migrate to a market leader.
