Absolutely. It is your task and your choice to decide how to do it. Actually I 
had not heard much about KDE Four Live lately and had forgotten it a little or 
we might have put it in as a suggestion, but only as a suggestion...

(Offtopic for this thread, we should mention KDE Four Live trunk etc in future 
beta announcements since it will make testing easy)

So it seems that Arch is the easiest way for you. That is fine.

Well, calling the KDE Four Live cd 'official' might be a bit of stretch. It was 
started by KDE people but I don't think it has ever been given 'official' status 
or hosted on the KDE servers. That's no criticism: neither are Arch, openSUSE, 
Fedora, Kubuntu etc 'official' KDE distros

Good question. It would of course be nice to be able to demo fancy desktop 
effects and stuff - I guess NVIDIA is the main problem here. The redistribution 
of closed drivers is a bit of a grey area. It might be a problem for this to 
be ulimately be hosted by KDE. I'll ask. Is it easy to add/remove the drivers 
from your point of view, or maybe do two alternate versions with and without?

Sure. Sandro's on this list so should see these mails anyway (though it may be 
best to use direct email or melange for anything urgent).
