While I agree with Stu that you can use whatever you want, you're only half
right about openSUSE. openSUSE is all about choice - hence it simply offers
SUSE branding and Upstream branding packages. The KDE FOUR live comes with the
same packages as any openSUSE product - Will just choose upstream branding
packages instead of the openSUSE branded.

Moreover, ANY kind of live CD you want to make can be made in 20 minutes
point-and-click on http://susestudio.com

Before you start working with all kinds of hacky scripts and stuff (yes, I
made my own liveCD's on Arch) I would recommend to look at SUSE Studio. It is
a much more maintainable and long-term solution. It even allows for the
product (be it a liveCD, or any kind of virtual-machine image, or Live USB) to
be live-tested in your web browser (it runs on the SUSE Studio servers). And
if that isn't enough, you can make changes there in that live test drive - and
those changes will be saved and become part of the end product.

In other words, while Arch is cool, openSUSE offers a few things Arch simply
can't offer you. So look at it and make sure you make an informed choice ;-)
