You could express this with a more saw the light approach, like eureka
kind of feeling. Maybe using a dawn while she walks (you booth must
wake up early and is a very old idea and maybe not a good one).
There is a teacher that says that if I see a short film starting with
a walk he turns it off. This is not the case but normally when you are
telling a story the actors walk miles if the director is a novel :)

give the actors the power: record from a lower angle so they are the
bosses. Maybe you could express that concept by one person walking
(that is in fact a column of people) two leave the behide the 1st
actor (there are now 3 persons in view 2 columns) and so on. Don't
know if I'm being clear.

Sorry to tell you this ideas only now (they only appear right now).
Remember for the video to work you must be the one to say the last
word. To decide. To have a coherent video the filmmaker must be strong
in is ideas (good listening better deciding)
