We need to think here about who we are, who we want to be and who we want to appeal to. So in this video we have some guys doing something with computers (they're the KDE people, right) and then we have some girls because they are elegant/beautiful etc? Or did I misinterpret something? I don't really like that ;-) It just gives me some of these messages: - The real work in KDE is done by a bunch of guys - Girls are nice and can be used in symbolism, but are not doing awesome in KDE And sure, I know our community is 90% male (or whatever) but wouldn't it be nice to change that? So say I'm a girl and a see this. What would inspire me to be a part of KDE or even think I *could* be a part of KDE? Maybe I can become a KDE dancer and wave some pom poms as a cheerleader at KDE events? That's not the message I want to send. I appreciate what you are doing and you clearly have a lot of skills that we can put to very good use - so I hope you see this as constructive :-) But how about having a few girls as part of the KDE team - or even a few guys as part of the symbolism of elegance and beauty (i do actually quite like that symbolism by the way, it is quite clever). There are some other tag lines that could come in to relate to that - things along the lines of KDE moving together or remarkable things happening when we all work together.
