Yep, this would be fantastic.  As Anne mentioned in her follow up email this
does get covered in Userbase and I think you could follow up with her
directly about what areas might need the most attention if you have time to
help with that.  In addition to that, it'd also be very cool to feature
applications periodically on the Dot where you talk about this sort of
thing.  You could do a review of an application, talk about what makes it
cool, and then point to the Userbase page for the app so that people can go
there for even more information.

These can be pretty low key...we organized one in Washington DC for 4.5 that
was basically 5-7 KDE fans/contributors sitting around a bar hanging out.
 Or if you're feeling ambitious you can do something bigger (see this old
Dot article for ideas:
