Hello,

My name is Bogdan Vatra, I'm the leader of android-lighthouse project (is a
community effort to port qt on android), I'd like to let you know that we are
getting close to release our first ALPHA SDK. This SDK is not meant to be used
in production! So, why this release is that important? IMHO, for this project,
this is the MOST important release ever, why? Because now I'll provide all the
tools people need to begin hacking on this project, and also to begin working on
their apps, because now, I hope, all the skeptic folks out there, will see the
potential of this project and will join us. Because Qt API is not frozen yet,
and we have a good chance to push our API changes into upstream Qt.

So what you'll find in this package:
 - Qt framework for Android, based on upcomming Qt 4.8.0.
 - Qt Creator with first class support for Android platform. Creating, managing,
compiling, deploying and *debugging* Qt apps on Android devices/emulator, is now
like a walk in the park.
 - System wide Qt shared libraries installer/provider. It was the most critical
missing piece of this project, without it this project is almost worthless, this
installer/provider is the guarantee that all your apps will run on any android
platform WITHOUT any modification!

Almost everything is in place, I'm planning to make the big announce later this
week or earlier next week, so if you want to write an article about this port
and need more informations feel free to contact me.

Yours sincerely,
BogDan Vatra.
