It could be almost the same, could be entirely different. It will be exactly what we create :) In general, Planet and, lets call it (the place where users blogs are accumulated) , Network, is targeted at different audiences. The Planet is for devs/geeks, writing about how software is created, about interesting bits of code. about personal topics, how KDE could be created. Its written by devs for devs. The Network, on the other hand, would be a place for info how to use the software, how to solve everyday issues, how to find hidden features. Its written by users for users. Devs, at the end of the day is also users :). The language should be different, the stress should be placed on different accents. The following is no issues for Planet (from The DOs and DONTs of Product Demonstrations, bnet.com)<http://www.bnet.com/blog/salesmachine/the-dos-and-donts-of-product-demonstrations/15899> - *#5. DON’T anticipate feature needs.* Unless you are 100 percent certain that a specific feature is of interest, don’t demo it. - *#10. DON’T talk too techie.* Focus on what the product will do for the prospect’s firm, not on how your product functions internally. - *#11. DON’T use the jargon. * Phrases like “best in class” and “bleeding edge” just make you look foolish, especially in front of a tech-savvy audience. - *#12. DO have a plot.* A good demo tells a story with a beginning, middle and end. The plot ALWAYS stars the customer (not YOU!). But would be for the Network. So yes, added motivation is important, but its not the value here :) p.s. Jussi, how could your message be sent on 8 Jun (or at least gmail shows this), but it hit my inbox juts tonight, 13 Jun ?
