Great job by you and everyone else! Following up on a couple of notes in the file: 1. Bug reports: stats on how many bugs reported/fixed would be nice. Rough statistics are available via bugzilla for last 175 days (Jan 26, 2011 to today, July 20): https://bugs.kde.org/weekly-bug-summary.cgi?tops=20&days=175 12432 bugs opened, 12508 bugs closed in the last 175 days (1424 wishes opened, 1428 wishes closed) (This includes duplicates!) I haven't been able to get a more precise query working (FIXED, WORKSFORME). Can someone help? (Dario figured this out for us previously - January 2010 email.) 2. Highlighting Akonadi -> Email notification. What happenned to LionMail? I anticipate there will be some "what's the point of Akonadi/Nepomuk anyways" responses (there seem to always be a few). One of the best ways I can think of to show off Akonadi's usability is via the plasma widget for incoming mail. Is the widget ready and included in 4.7? (Sebas?) There are some identi.ca posts that seem happy about Lionmail - but only relatively old web references: blog post and kde-pim email from Sebas: http://vizzzion.org/blog/2010/09/getting-email-done-the-stack-and-the-heap-of-lion-mail/ http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-pim&m=130031250308314&w=2 " it pretty much works, needs a bugfix here and there, and hopefully won't eat your email *crosses fingers*" So if anyone is trying out 4.7, keep an eye out for the email notification widget! I've added a sentence in the release notes about the widget.. someone please confirm. 3. Translation: The last release notes were translated in at least a few languages. We're pretty close to the release deadline, so I don't know if that will be possible this time around. Can we set a deadline for the Etherpad document and then share the contents for translation? 4. "Spreading the word" and "Supporting KDE" sections. The last release notes contained two sections at the end to spread the word about the release (blog, microblog, buzz.kde.org, etc.) and reference to Join The Game. This content doesn't really need editing (except removing the "SC" reference and updating the version to 4.7, but it shouldn't be forgotten either. See http://www.kde.org/announcements/4.6/ . Alternatively, we might want to wait for a media "push" until October (Plasma Active, with Calligra and Kontact mobile) and KDE 4.8 (where Plasma Active components should come together nicely with everything else). OK, that's all I can think of for now, I'm off to sleep again to beat my ugly cold. Kudos again to everyone for making the release notes better.
