Hello,

I put the word out among the KDE-promo group. No one volunteered to take on
making KDE happen at Ohio LinuxFest. I apologize if we previously said we'd
participate, but it's essential for someone--preferably a group--near Columbus
to take this on.

It's unfortunate that we won't be there, because KDE Plasma (the User
Experience) now has yet another look...this time for mobile devices. Plasma
Active supports touch, in lieu of mouse and keyboard.

I was at LinuxCon in Vancouver last week, exhibiting for LinuxFest Northwest and
talking with people about the cool stuff going on with KDE. I demo'd a tablet
running a full OpenSUSE 11.4 desktop, with Plasma Active/Contour as the UX. The
response was quite good. LinuxCon was quite a celebration. Linus looks good in
formal wear (http://www.desktoplinux.com/news/NS3882051891.html). We were the
only LinuxFest exhibiting; there was a lot of interest in the various Fests
around the US and Canada, including OLF.

Good luck with your 20 years of Linux celebration. It sounds like Ohio LinuxFest
will be outstanding this year.

Thank you for thinking of KDE

Carl
