Heya folks :)

See below the CfP for OSCON 2012. It is one of the conferences we should be
a part of in 2012. Please do propose talks. I'm happy to provide feedback
on submissions. Let me know if you submit anything.
Please also forward this to anyone who you think should propose a
talk/workshop/...

Cheers
Lydia

     Make
2012 the year you speak at OSCON Speaker proposals due January 12, 2012

Once a year, open source practitioners, advocates, and communities gather
at OSCON<http://post.oreilly.com/rd/9z1zof7saeef9u33fvta2p9jd4n0a4i0rcjjkdqho7g>to
learn and connect, and consider the state of open source. It's big—the
18 tracks cover a panoply of open source technologies and themes. Roughly
400 people will be presenting—should you be one of them?

If you have a new idea, a better way to do something, an interesting and
instructive case study (battle scars optional), or the desire to pass on
your hard-won knowledge, submit a
proposal<http://post.oreilly.com/rd/9z1zhvo3100kv7t223iv17hlhp5jqh0l3rkmuk7l0qg>to
lead conference sessions or tutorials at OSCON 2012. Speaking at the
event is a great way to share what you know with your peers, while getting
projects, ideas, and your company in front of a savvy and connected
audience.
 Topics We're Interested In

*but feel free to surprise us with something not on the list:*

   - *The Startup Stack*—open source infrastructure that entrepreneurs
   choose to power their startups.
   - Open Source and *User experience*—moving from strange bedfellows to
   soulmates
   - Open source in *Healthcare*, *Government*, and *Education*
   - *Best Practices* for building a business around open source
   - *Leadership* in the changing Open Source culture
   - *Open Web*, *Open Standards*, *Open Data*
   - *Emerging Languages*—have a good story about why we need Yet Another
   - Open source in *Mobile Devices*
   - *Geek Lifestyle*—hacking, quantified self, inbox zero, maker culture
   - *Data* and *Java*—those who attended last year's OSCON Data and OSCON
Java told us that they wanted to be part of the "main" OSCON, so we're
bringing Data and Java back into the fold in 2012.

Read submissions guidelines and submit your
proposal.<http://post.oreilly.com/rd/9z1z4f2ivn23ui4sc6io9a0r7mo95h62rpfd6800el0>
