There have been forum comments pointing people to the Code of Conduct,
and otherwise moderating the tone. Jos posted a blunt comment about
discourteous behavior. Others seem to have taken up the cause.

KDE News and Promo are KDE communication channels. We can be excited
and opinionated about what we're doing. If people don't like it, they
should open an account and comment at SlashSnark. According to several
knowledgeable industry sources, KDE is the open source desktop leader.
Why should we be any less self-promotional than Apple?

Most of the negative comments are so general as to be useless. If
someone has a problem with KDE stuff, they should be visiting
bugs.kde.org and doing something about it. Not tearing KDE down with
uncommitted complaints.

I'm almost to the point of recommending that some kinds of comments
just get deleted.
"That's fine that it runs faster. When are those young,
good-for-nothings gonna fix my bug? Fire promo, get more developers."
or (real comment)... "new and fancy view" is very good stuff but what
about idiotic random crashes of everything on signal 11?...I see no
purpose is such comments.
