Yes, it sounds okay.

Put the one sentence mention in the Apps section of the General
Announcement. And the full announcement in the details-applications
section, as you suggested.

Please take a look at http://kde.org/announcements/4.7/ (and the "full
details" links) for guidance on level of detail, tone, point of view
(third person...although "you" slipped in a few times in the
announcement) and the like. There will be some rounds of reviews and
edits so that everything flows nicely. So don't worry about getting
the writing perfect.

Screenshots! Would someone please add guidelines to
https://promo.notes.kde.org/58? There has been discussion about this
in the past in mailing lists.
