Thanks for both these points. We have a mailing list set up for the people 
working on the site and the campaign around it, so I'll forward your email 
there.

For the birthday selector, we'll have to come up with a better way as you say. 
For the amount to pay, I guess we'll have to see what we can do in PayPal. It 
would be easy enough with the other payment options to set up a different 
amount, I guess, but PayPal is probably the most convenient for a lot of 
users.
