Cool! So here's the idea. The objective is not to teach users how to use activities, but rather to inform. Here are two examples from Apple and GNOME: Mac OS X - http://youtu.be/GdHo3bPAGP8 GNOME Shell - http://youtu.be/t4fhsgZbgKk So for activities, instead of saying what they are etc., I wanted a video that showed how to use them. Here's my draft for the content (the text is just temporary to give you an idea): - Intro - Do you use your computer for multiple activities? Have you noticed how messy things can get? (Screen: desktop with many opened application, mouse cursor trying to find the right window) - Not anymore with KDE Activities - Activities allow you to organize your computer activities (Screen: Activity Manager) - When you need some space for a task, just create a new activity (Create new activity, change name of activity) - Easily switch between your activities (Switch back to previous activity) - Customize your activities to fit your current task (Change icon of activity, change wallpaper, add widget to desktop) - And if you don't need an activity at the moment, simply pause it (Pause an activity; for an extra nice touch, pause an activity called "Video recording" or something similar and let the screencast "end" after clicking it ;) - Some outro My hope with the video is to give users an "aha - that's why I need activities" feeling. It's pretty much work (especially in my vision, since I wanted it to be as "professionally" as possible) but I'm sure it's possible to do. Well, that's what I had, feel free to comment.
